Tasting notes
Medium to dark purple with pink hues.
Fragrant lifted florals, red berry fruits and spice. Lovely sweet and juicy palate with black and red cherry, ripe black plum and spice. Medium bodied, plush and complex with velvety silky tannins and a long and generous red fruit finish.
Food match: Beef, lamb, duck with cherries
Wine making notes
The fruit (clones 777, 115 and 114) was hand harvested on the 12th of April 2017 at average of 21.7 brix and was de-stemmed into an open top stainless steel tank. Fermentation carried out by select yeast until the wine was dry. The wine was aged in French Oak barriques for approximately 10 months, of which 27% was new oak.
